Unternehmertum bzw. Entrepreneurship ist der Kern der EIT Vision, der die zentralen Elemente wie Bildung, Forschung und Wirtschaft in exzellenter Weise verbindet. Eine der höchsten Prioritäten des Climate-KIC ist daher das Ermutigen und Fördern einzelner Personen wie auch Unternehmen, ihre Ideen auf den Markt zu bringen. Die damit verbundenen Aktivitäten haben weiterhin zum Ziel, das Ansehen von Unternehmern in Europa zu stärken.

Supporting Young Entrepreneurs
In addition to grant money from entrepreneurial competition, we also offer support from a network of scientific, political, and international institutions that supplement the range of regional and national support programs offered. The following are examples of opportunities for emerging businesses:
- EIT Entrepreneurship Award: The winners receive professional support for the development of their business models or the up-scaling of their firms. In addition, the winners benefit from the existing networks of their consultants.
- EIT Round Table of Top Entrepreneurs: The top 15-20 entrepreneurs participate in round tables with executives from industry, KIC Management, and members of the European Commission. Along with development of their business ideas, participants will also be able to use their experiences to expand their support measures.
- Venture Competition: Along with highly-valued vouchers to support their business ideas, winners will also receive comprehensive support in expanding their network on the European level.
